Christmas is a wonderful time for the children at Rumboldswhyke. They enjoyed a trip to the Minerva Theatre in Chichester to see Dear Santa, the older children were brilliant at reassuring the younger children who had not experienced the dark of the theatre before. The play was based around the book by Rod Campbell. Yellow class put on a prdouction called ‘A Little Bird Told Me’. It was wonderfully received by their parents and family when they came to see it. Our Reception class made some beautiful lanterns that they lit up and paraded around the school path, it was very magical in the semi dark of December. The whole school visited St Georges’s chruch for a Christingle service and the Reception class later took part in a Nativity play in the church for their families. Christmas lunch in school was enjoyed by all, what a busy end of term we had!
